Here are your key contacts for Eastern Counties Motor Club. Please don’t hesitate to get in contact, we’re more than happy to help in any way we can!
Laura’s involvement in motorsport started aged 14, competing in her very first car trial at Seckford. Laura has since progressed to special stage rallying, co-driving across the UK for a number of drivers. As well as competing, Laura is heavily involved in the promotion of motorsport, and works across the region with Anglia Motor Sport Club to introduce newcomers to motorsport. Laura is also the founder of the Better Together initiative, designed to make motorsport more accessible and inclusive to all.
Vincent Hunt
Vice Chair & Academy Car Manager
Vincent has held a National Race Licence since 1998 and from 1999 to 2022 competed at selected rounds of the BARC MGOC Race Championship. He still has the car, and the licence, but no longer has the budget. Although he has beaten the 1-minute lap time at Mallory Park in an MG Maestro, Vincent’s natural environment was towards the back of the grid motivated by (a) a desire to survive and (b) a strong wish to preserve his much- loved 1969 race car. Vincent first joined ECMC in circa 1994 and was active in the Club and on the committee from then until 2015 when a job in London required a “break”. He returned to the committee in 2022 and enjoys working with colleagues on the exciting new direction of the club.
Louise Cooledge

Mike has been involved in motorsport since the 1970s. He began in short oval racing, and has since competed in autocross, rallycross, car trials, minicross, formula ford, sprints and more recently autosolos. There’s not many disciplines that Mike hasn’t tried his hand at! Mike is also a keen marshal and organiser, and alongside his role with ECMC, is chief marshal for Ipswich Transport Museum’s annual Ipswich to Felixstowe Historic Vehicle Run.
