Following the success of our recent beginner-friendly navigational events, Eastern Counties Motor Club is pleased to announce two more opportunities to learn and enjoy navigational rallying.
Whether you’re completely new to motorsport, looking to sharpen your map-reading skills, or simply want an enjoyable evening with like-minded enthusiasts, these events are the perfect place to start.
Tabletop Rally
📅 Tuesday 3 November 2026, from 7.30pm
📍 The Claydon Greyhound
💷 Just £3 per crew
Our popular tabletop rallies are a fun and informal way to learn the basics of route plotting and navigation without leaving your seat. Working through maps, clues and navigation challenges, you’ll gain confidence and develop skills from the comfort of the pub!
No previous experience is required, and experienced club members will be on hand to help newcomers get started.
Beginners’ 12 Car Rally
📅 Friday 27 November 2026, from 7pm
📍 Start and finish at Claydon & Barham Community Centre
💷 Just £15 per car
Ready to put your new skills into practice? Our Beginners’ 12 Car Rally is designed specifically for those who are new to navigational rallying, or would like to gain more confidence before taking part in a competitive event.
Before the event, competitors will receive guidance on plotting their route before heading out onto a carefully planned course along local roads. With plenty of support available, it’s an excellent introduction to one of the most accessible and rewarding forms of grassroots motorsport.
Give It a Go!
Navigational rallying is about teamwork, clue-solving and following the right route. It’s more about skill than speed. All you need is a road-legal car, a driver and navigator, and a willingness to learn.
