What a fantastic day we had at our Summer Car Trial on Sunday! We were treated to glorious weather throughout, with the sun shining and perfect conditions for a full day of trialling, as everyone made the most of the sunshine out on the hills.
Well done to everyone who took part. It was great to see so many happy, smiling faces enjoying trialling in the sunshine.
With dry conditions throughout the day, our Clerk of the Course, Alan, had his work cut out for him – creating hills that were challenging enough to separate the front runners while still being accessible and enjoyable for all.
We saw some excellent performances across the classes, with John Holder taking the overall win with an impressive score of just 2 points. It was a close call, with Barry Redmayne also on 2 points, but the ‘furthest cleanest’ rule was deployed. It was especially enjoyable to see three newcomers take to the hills – Dave, Sam and Michael – who were absolute naturals.
Class winners were Robin Lines (Class A), David Holmes (Class B), Dan Pearson (Class C) and Barry Redmayne (Class D), all putting in solid drives on some demanding sections.
A brilliant day all round. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a success, especially our fantastic marshals and organising team!
